Eleanor's Portrait of a Bald Man

This one was hanging in her room at the memory care facility.
She kept asking me who painted it, and if it was a portrait of a friend of hers, and without my father I really didn't know. Only recently did I turn it around and discover that "Pillion" is brushed on the back of the canvas. I am pretty sure this Pillion is her mark and not that of her brother Raymond, so I would now say it is her painting. Still no idea who the subject is.
Of course, given the style and the signature, it would be pre-1958 and probably done while she was in art school.

Midcentury Paintings of Uncertain Origin

I would guess an unfinished piece by Eleanor.

My guess is also an unfinished piece by Eleanor. The black "figure" to the left is a small sculpture my parents owned, which we still have. They called it "Buttercup"--so that's my improvised title for the painting.

Midcentury Paintings by Friends

Arlene Shanbaum

Three paintings by Arlene Shanbaum, a close friend and fellow art student. Arlene was lost in a studio fire in the 1960s.
The second is definitely a portrait of Eleanor and the third may be as well.

Bill Cummings

Two paintings by Bill, or William T. Cummings, also a good friend and fellow art student.
Not to be confused, I believe, with the western-based painter of the same name. This Bill Cummings is not well known as a painter but he is known for this children's books, which are highly collectible. See thread post and discussion here. His works are generally signed simply WTC.

Reassmann

I don't know who Reassmann is, but there is a signature.

Monotype print. The title is, I believe, Tattooed Artist.
